What customers say?

“ We were positively surprised. We had to charge our car and only had this option for dinner since all other places were booked out. We had a good takeaway dinner with good value for money. The burgers and fish were fresh and surprisingly good, the chips not really our taste (thick type) but were totally fine. ”

“ Really good fish and chips(£12) with lovely service. The batter was fantastic, and id recommend the onion rings too. They let you salt and sauce your own which works well, and I got a gerkin(50p) which was delicious. Juice was quite expensive though at £3 ”

- Alistair Kevan -

“ Not sure what to expect as the reviews are v inconsistent but our fish and chips was pretty good and we'll come again ”

- Ian MacCormick -

“ Concerned about some of these poor reviews as my last visit, 12 months ago, was a good experience. Had the medium fish and chips (£10) and it was cooked to order, so a 10 min wait. Really good. Portion size of both fish and the chips was more than I was expecting. Someone else having the full size fish (£12) looked huge - too much for me. Plenty of outside benches to utilise. ”

- Ian Whittaker -

“ Best fish and chips outside of Yorkshire! Fresh haddock and 3 pieces of fish cooked to perfection. Chips were to die for, home made and the perfect level of crispiness. I was going to go for a pub meal but they were full, best decision of my Scottish trip so far! ”

- Paul Johnson -

“ We had fish and chips. It was very fresh and delicious! They didn't give an already cooked one (like in other places) but made one from fresh. I highly recommend it! Also as someone who's obsessed about hygiene, everywhere was very clean. Furthermore, the staff is very kind ”

- Melisa Tanta -

“ Visited for fish and chips late on Friday on my way out to camp at the Linn of Dee. The fish was excellent: light and very fresh-tasting with a perfect batter. The chips were a great size and cooked very well. As for quantity, I couldn’t quite finish them, so grand by me. Definitely a huge improvement on the old Hungry Highlander that was here before. ”

- K H -

“ Excellent chips. The best I’ve had in a long time. Tasted really fresh, perfect thickness, fluffiness and crispiness. Thank you guys for doing it right. Tipped off a special evening in Braemar perfectly. Will be back! ”
